Is work finally starting on the Hazrat Bilal Centre?

After long delays in the planning process and, apparently, funding, work now seems to be starting up again on the new Hazrat Bilal Centre on Sevier Street.

By last summer the proposed piling foundations were finally aproved and remedial work to avoid flood risk. Towards the end of 2012 a Contractor was appointed to do this work and a Party Wall Surveyor was also chosen. A Construction Design and Management Co-ordinator was in place by January 2013 and now site clearance work has been taking place, to get down to 'clean soil' before the piling work is carried out.
