We are pleased to announce that the St Werburghs Buddhist Group will be starting a new six course on 5th September 2018 at our regular time and venue, Wednesdays 19.15 onwards at the Wild Goose Space.

The course is designed to give a good foundation in a traditional system of buddhist meditation from Tibetan Buddhism. Both new and seasoned meditators are welcome.

Course title: The Nature of Mind - Openness, Clarity, Sensitivity


What:
A Six week meditation course with the St Werburghs Buddhist group. Suitable for new meditators and seasons meditators alike.

When: Six Wednesday evenings, 5th September to 10th October, 19.15 to 21.00 at Wild Goose Space, St Werburgh’s, 228 Mina Rd, Bristol BS2 9YP.

What to expect:
The group is very friendly and welcoming. A typical evening consists of short sessions of meditation, a talk on one of the core themes, group discussion followed by tea/coffee/biscuits.

What to bring:
There is no need to bring anything particularly. Some people like to bring a notepad and pen to take notes during the talks.

The course will explore a Dzogchen Buddhist approach to the view, meditation and action.
Week 1. Openness, Clarity, Sensitivity – The nature of Mind. Tim.
Week 2. The great space– Openness. Toby.
Week 3. The vivid display– Clarity. Tim.
Week 4. Responsive Compassion – Sensitivity. Toby.
Week 5. Meditation - resting in natural Openness, Clarity, and Sensitivity. Tim
Week 6. Skilful activity- the action of Openness, Clarity, Sensitivity. Toby.
