SWNA Secretary (voluntary role)

The St Werburghs Neighbourhood Association (SWNA) will be appointing a new Secretary in March. The role is for a year and is voluntary - as are all roles in SWNA, which is a long-running, successful and friendly neighbourhood association.

The main responsibilities are to:
1) Keep an overview of the SWNA calendar and book venues as required;
2) Take notes at committee and other SWNA meetings, and maintain actions and decisions lists (the committee usually meets every other month);
3) Co-ordinate/communicate Neighbourhood Partnership (NP) agendas and papers (along with NP representatives) to groups in St Werburghs as required.

The Secretary role is a valued member of the SWNA Committee and we would of course also welcome your input at SWNA’s meetings and participation in its community activities.

This role might be particularly useful for someone looking to develop their CV and planning to get a job as in office administration (perhaps someone returning to work or changing career, or a young person leaving college), as well as those interested in local issues. The SWNA Committee will provide full support and mentoring as required.
