Woodcraft Folk is an amazing organisation whose ethos fits perfectly with our local community values ...
" Woodcraft Folk groups are run co-operatively with children young people and adults working together to learn about the world and develop skills and confidence. Woodcraft members are united by our shared values of peace co-operation and equality.
We don't have a set uniform but children can choose to wear „woodie hoodies or t-shirts designed by young members.
We believe our organisation provides an informal and supportive environment for young people to develop their ideas share experiences explore opportunities and make life-long friends locally and beyond."
There is a strong network of Woodcraft groups across Bristol district and the South West area with lots of district and area events and camps.
The local Woodcraft Folk group is called Shooting Stars Elfins. We are a parent led group for boys and girls age 5-9 and meet weekly on Boiling Wells.
The group is currently relaunching and is open to new members and volunteers. The next open evening for new parents is on Tuesday 19 February at 6pm at St Bart's Hall. |
